This flight was the first of my “check ride prep” flights. It’s where Travis runs me through all the maneuvers that the FAA Examiner will be asking me to do when that day comes. We went over slow flight, stalls, steep turns, emergency descents, ground reference maneuvers and did a landing at Van Nuys. Not a bad days work. It’s really getting to the point where it’s like getting in your car and driving to the store, it’s starting to feel very natural without much hesitation on the actual procedure of doing each maneuver. It’s nice when you can just do the maneuver and not have to “think” about it.

There’s a couple photos of a jet taking off at Whiteman and of course my awesome instructor Travis!
