This was the time to get reacquainted with 19688, I had been in 26504 for a few flights and because of it’s tendency to roll to the right I didn’t think I needed the headache. Just one of those thing, every plane has its idiosyncrasies.

This was one of those peaceful smooth flights. Not bumpy at all, great visibility, not much haze. One of those flights where you get back on the ground and you just feel relaxed. Actually most of the flights are like that, but this one especially! It’s always great when there’s a few clouds around as it makes for good photos. This time I actually shot some video…first time! By the time you get to see the video it’s been so compressed it really doesn’t do it justice. I shot it in HDV (Hi-Definiton) so one day you might get to see it in HD.

On Monday I’ll be doing my first cross-country solo! That means fly to another airport at least 100 miles away (I think it’s 100) on your own, land there and fly back. I’m going to fly to Santa Barbara…all by myself haha. That always cracks me up, it’s like being allowed to go in the deep end for the first time. Sink or swim. I’m feeling pretty confident though, but not overly so. You definitely have to be prepared. I’m meeting with Travis at 7am so he can go over my flight plan and make sure I’m good to go.
